I'll add more commentary later. For now, here are pictures from the first 380 miles of road (Stanford to Ashland, Oregon).
6:40am - Left Stanford, forgot some vital papers to get into Canada but banking on border patrol letting me anyway. Also forgot charger for MP3 player which was kind of a mistake but not a complete loss.
7:45am - Stopped on 880 in Oaktown to fix my bike which was half-way flying off the back of my car.
10am - Stopped in Red Bluff, CA to get gas, many RV park people walking around sketchily, and weirdly, there was an open carnival going on with a ferris wheel
1pm - Here in Ashland with many hippies and Southern Oregon students
